Abstract

Aim To investigate the clinical efficiency and safety of high intensity focused ultrasound(HIFU)in the treatment of advanced pancreatic carcinoma.Methods A total of 36 cases with unresectable pancreatic carcinoma were treated by HIFU.They were observed periodically after treatment.Results Among 36 cases,23 cases(63.8%)achieved moderate curative effect.Median survival time was 21mouths.Conclusion Patients with pancreatic carcinoma can be treated by HIFU effectively and safely.
