Abstract
Objective To study the expression and its clinical significance of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 in cervical carcinoma. Methods To detect the expression of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 in 15 cases of chronic cervicitis,34 cases of CIN and 53 cases of cervical carcinoma by immunohistochemical techniques. Results The expression rates of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 were gradually increased with the progress cervical lesions. The positive expression rates of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 in chronic cervicitis,CIN and cervical carcinoma were 0%,35.71%,64.71% and 0%,28.57%,68.63%,respectively.The expression of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 were correlated with lymph node metastasis, but there was no relationship with clinical stage. The CD 44v6 expression was positive correlation to MMP-2 expression in cervical carcinoma (r=0.385,P0.01).Conclusion The expression of CD 44v6 and MMP-2 was correlated with development, invasion and metastasis of human cervical carcinoma.Examination of expression of those two proteins may be helpful to early screen and judge tumor metastasis of cervical carcinoma.
