Clinical Study on Treating Vomiting Induced by Chemotherapy with Liuwei Ziou Powder

Abstract

Objective: to observe the therapeutic effect of Liuwei Ziu Power(LZP) on vomiting due to chemotherapy. Methods:60 cases were randomly divided into two groups, treated group(30)with Chinese herbs and control group(30) with western medcine. Results: Compared with two groups, the efficiency in LZP group was significantly less than that in control group inrelieving acute vomiting,while the efficiency in former group was obviously better than thatin latter group in relieving late onset vomiting ( P 0.05). There were no statistic meaning in improving life quanity and keeping weight( P 0.05). Conclusion:LZP have good effect onlate onset vomiting due to chemotherapy without side effect.
