Abstract
To a great extent,Summative Assessment,whose criterion is students' scores in examinations,ignores students' initiative and creativities in their learning by omitting process of learning and their routine learning performance.Cooperative college English learning is a teaching strategy aiming at the cultivation of competence in autonomous learning.Therefore,some comprehensive and new-style assessing methods are essential.Based on an experiment and the analyses,the writer raises some feasible assessing modes for cooperative college English learning,such as the combination of formative assessment and summative assessment,the combination of students' self-assessment and teacher's assessment,and focus on performance assessment.
