Abstract

The ecological footprint and ecological carrying capacity of Yinchuan in 2007 was calculated with the modified ecological footprint model. The results showed that the per capita ecological footprint of Yinchuan was 2.218 62 hm2 in 2007 with per capita ecological carrying capacity of 1.74 hm2 and per capita ecological deficit of 0.479 hm2.On the basis of that the suggestion on sustainable development for Yinchuan was proposed.
