An Analysis to the Ecological Carrying Capacity of Yinchuan City

Abstract

The ecological footprint of Yinchuan is calculated and analyzed with the data of Ningxia Autonomous Region and Yinchuan City in 2006.Results show that the per capita ecological footprint of Yinchuan is 2.271565hm2 in 2005,indicating an unsustainable ecological development in Yinchuan City.Finally,measures are proposed for the sustainable development after an analysis of the results.
