HPLC Determination of Hesperidin in the TCM "Pingwei Wan"

Abstract
HPLC was applied to the determination of hesperidin in the prepared tradition Chinese medicine named Pingwei Wan.The Hypersil BDS C18 column(250 mm×4.6 mm,5 μm) was used as stationary phase,and a mixture of methanol,acetic and water,mixed in the ratio of 35 to 4 to 61 by volume,was used as mobile phase with a flow-rate of 1 mL·min-1.Detection at the wavelength of 283 nm was adopted in the determination.Linear relationship between values of peak area and mass concentration of hesperidin was obtained in the range of 8.08-121.2 mg·L-1.The proposed method was used in the determination of hesperidin in the drug,giving average recovery of 101.1% with RSD(n=9) 1.2%.
