Abstract
Objective:To investigate the level of sex hormones in male patients with hypertension. Methods:By means of radioimmunoassay,we measured the serum estradiol(E\-2),testosterorn(T) and progesterone(P) levels in 50 hypertensive men and 40 normotensive men. Results:The men with essential hypertention had significantly lower serum T,E\-2 and P level than the control( P 0.001).Conclusions:Abnormality of sex hormones may be related to essential hypertension.
