Therapeutic Effects of Oral Lactulose Solution in 39 Cases of Habitual Constipation

Objective To observe the therapeutic effects and security of oral lactulose solution in treatment of habitual constipation.Methods Seventy-eight cases of habitual constipation were randomly divided into two groups in a prospective self-control way,with 39 cases in each group.The patients in therapy group were given 10~15 mL oral lactulose solution once every morning for 2 weeks.The patients in control group were given 1.2 g Maren capsules 3 times per day for 2 weeks.Results Total effective rate in therapy group and control group was 97.44% and 87.18%,respectively,and there was a significant difference between the two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Oral lactulose solution is effective in treating habitual constipation.
