Abstract

OBJECTIVE To analyze the characteristics and change of drug resistance of Pseudomonas aeruginosa(PAE) so as to provide reference for reasonable use of antibiotics.METHODS The drug susceptibility testing for clinical isolates of PAE isolated from 2008 to 2010 was performed, and the result was analyzed statistically.RESULTS There were totally 380 PAE strains isolated, including 124 strains in 2008,131 strains in 2009,and 125 strains in 2010.Their drug resistance rates to ceftazidime, amikacin, and imipenem were low, which were 19.47%,26.05%,and 28.95%,respectively compared to the drug resistance rates to leofloxacin, aztreonam, and sulfamethoxazole/trimethoprim,which were 67.11%,44.92%,and 42.63 %,respectively.Their drug resistance rates to aztreonam, ceftazidime, imipenem, and piperacillin/tazobactam increased year by year.CONCLUSION The antimicrobial resistance of PAE is increasing year by year.It is necessary to intensify the reasonable use of antibiotics on the basis of drug susceptibility testing.
