Abstract

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the efficacy of compound glycyrrhizin on hepatic fibrosis of chronic hepatitis B.METHODS 150 patients were randomly divided into 2 groups:75 cases of the control group were treated with conventional liver protection;75 cases of the study group were treated with compound glycyrrhizin, additionally. All treated for 4 weeks. The hepatic function and hepatic fibrosis index before and after treatment, the clinical effects were observed.RESULTS The clinical efficiency was 93.3% in study group and 84.0% in control group, the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P0.05).After treatment, the hepatic function and hepatic fibrosis index of all patients were improved to some extent;ALT,AST,GGT,TBIL of hepatic function and HA,LN,PCⅢ,IVC,TGF-β1 of hepatic fibrosis index were all decreased significantly in the study group compared with the control group(P0.05 or P0.01).CONCLUSION The improvement of hepatic function and the alleviation of fibrosis after combining treatment with compound glycyrrhizin is significant,it is worthy of wide clinical use in the treatment of chronic hepatitis B.
