Abstract

Objective To investigate the cost-efficacy in the treatment of peptic ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori(Hp) with three administration plans. Methods 90 patients with peptic ulcer caused by Hp were randomly divided into 3 groups. The treatment cost was composed of 2 parts:antibiotics and proton pump inhibitor. The patients in group A were treated by omeprazole 20 mg,amoxicillin 2.0 g and metronidazole 0.1g for two weeks;the patients in group B were treated by omeprazole 20 mg,clarithromycin 500 mg and amoxicillin 1.0 g for one week;the patients in group C were treated by omeprazole 20 mg,tinidazole 500 mg and clarithromycin 250 mg for one week. The cost-efficacy analysis was performed by using pharmacoecomics method. Results The effective rates in group A,B,C were 86.7%,76.7%,83.3% respectively;costs in group A,B,C were 623.27 Yuan, 346.96 Yuan and 519.00 Yuan respectively;cost-efficacy ratios were 7.16, 4.51, 6.25 respectively. Conclusion The therapeutic effects of three administration plans on peptic ulcer are similar, but the cost of group B is the lowest, which is the best administration plan among three administration plans.
