Abstract
OBJECTIVE:To analyze the outpatient irrational drug use in our hospital so as to improve the quality of outpatient prescriptions and promote rational drug use.METHODS:A total of 13 560 outpatient prescriptions collected in our hospital(one day's prescriptions per month) from July 2009 to June 2010 were analyzed with regard to the irrational prescriptions.RESULTS:The ratio of irrational prescriptions was 1.25%(169/13 560),with irrational drug choice,repeated drug use,drug combination,irrational dosage and administration,irrational dosage forms and irrational course of treatment.CONCLUSION:Clinicians and pharmacists should strengthen their learning on expertise in order to ensure safe,effective,economic and proper clinical drug use.
