The new maize variety Jindan 75 was assembled by Institute of Maize,Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2005,and was approved by Shanxi Province Variety Approval Committee in 2010.The variety has good stability and high production potentiality.Its general productivity is 10 500-12 000 kg/hm2,and the highest production up to 14 667 kg/hm2in high-yield demonstration.Jindan 75 has a high resistance to dwarf mosaic virus,a mid-resistance to leaf blight and stem rot,and a resistance to ear rot,rough dwarf disease and head smut.Furthermore,it has a good adaptability.As a quality mid-maturing variety of big spike Jindan 75 has a wide range of promotion prospects in Shanxi province.
