Abstract
On the basis of the investigation of Xuhui District of Shanghai,this paper analyses the problems emerging during the process of suburbanization in the big cities of developed area in China such as virulent competition,insufficient retailing in outskirts of city,decline of wholesale market. It puts forward some measures against these problems from the aspects of business type,adjustment of time of business exploitation and adjustment of business zone structure,including upgrading the central business area,subdivision of market,show of features,humanistic design,analysis of consumption potential,establishment of complete business zone and so on.
