Abstract
The article gives wholly analysis on suburbanization in Beijing, after clear introduction of the concept of suburbanization. At first, it discusses population and industry suburbanization in Beijing and the trend which different from that in the western city. Next, it explains the positive role of suburbanization, such as improvement of human settlement, optimization of industrial structure, optimization of land use, and improvement of environment quality. It also focuses on the negative effect and issue of suburbanization, for instance sprawl of build-up area and diminish of green belt, disorder of industry's moving out, over-development of real estate, threat of ancient Beijing and bad agglomeration of the migrant population. Finally, for ensuring well development of Beijing's suburbanization, it proposes some countermeasure suggestion on the issue.
