Photodynamic three step therapy in the treatment of perianal condyloma acumininatum

Abstract
Objectives: To observe the effect of photodynamic 3 step therapy in the treatment of perianal condyloma acuminatum.Method: Perianal condyloma acuminata patients in our department were randomly divided into the treatment group(n=45) and the control group(n=35).The treatment group was applied with 3 step therapy,namely,cryotherapy,photodynamic and topical immunomodulator therapy.The control group was only treated with cryotherapy.The two groups of patients were compared in the curative efficacy and the recurrence rate.Results: The curative efficacy is 97.78%in the treatment group,and 65.72% in the control group.The two groups showed significant differences in the efficacy and recurrence rates after 4,8 and 12 weeks of treatment(P0.05).Conclusion: Photodynamic 3 step therapy is effective in the treatment of perianal condyloma acuminate and can reduce the recurrence rate.
