McNamara cephalmetric analysis of the 120 Harbin people with normal occlusion

Objective To obtain the normal values of McNamara analysis for Harbin people with normal occlusion. Methods McNamara analysis was conducted on the basis of the lateral cephalograms of 60 Harbin adolescents and 60 adults with normal occlusion. The difference in the normal value between male and female was analyzed statistically. Results The normal values of McNamara cephalometric analysis of Harbin adolescents and adults with normal occlusion were established. The values of the effective maxillary length and the Pog-Np line were significantly different between male and female Harbin adolescents. In adults, the differences existed in the effective maxillary length,the effective mandibular length, the lower anterior facial height and the ANp line. Conclusion The established normal values of McNamara cephalometric analysis of Harbin adolescents and adults with normal occlusion can be used as a reference in clinic.
