Abstract
Objective To investigate the correlation between the asymptomatic hyperuricemia and levels of male serum testosterone(T) and serum lipid. Methods 43 male patients of asymptomatic hyperuricemia with healthy examination from October 2012 to June 2014 in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University( for short) were collected as the study group, 43 healthy male people with normal uric acid level in healthy examination during the same period in our hospital were collected as the control group. The uric acid(UA), sex hormones and serum lipid indexes of the two groups were detected, and the correlation between the UA level and serum T level or serum lipid level were explored. Results The incidence of dyslipidemia in the study group(74.42%) was significantly higher than 39.53% in the control group, there was significant difference between the two groups(χ2=10.67, P 0.05). Sex hormone levels and serum lipid levels: the level of T in the study group was significantly lower than that in the control group, there was significant difference(t=4.728, P 0.05), the level of total cholesterol(TC) and triglycerides(TG) in the study group were significantly higher than those in the control group, there were significant differences(t=5.627, 3.185,P 0.05). Correlation analysis: the level of UA in the study group was significantly negatively correlated with the level of T(r=-0.498, P 0.05), the level of UA and TC, TG, LDL-C in the study group showed significant positive correlation(r=0.628, 0.539, 0.687, P 0.05). Conclusion Asymptomatic hyperuricemia is closely associated with the levels of serum T and serum lipid, and has the presence of low T level and dyslipidemia, so the detection of UA level should be attached great importance, and asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients should also pay attention to the detection of T level.
