Review and Prospect of Sports Culture Research in China

This study revealed current research on sports culture to understand its progress,content,involving field,and hotspot issues in China comprehensively and to clarify sports culture's function and value to construct a harmonious society. The methods of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis were used in this study to analyze studies on sports culture in the last 20 years,and sports culture problems in China were discussed in the background of culture system reform. The results showed that China sports culture research has an escalating,expanding,and refining trend in sports research field. But narrow scope,repeated research and nonstandard definition are existed in researches. Sports cultural expression,sports cultural memory and interdisciplinary research are the trend of sports culture research,which can promote sports culture development.
