The Educational Value of Folk Custom in Middle School History Books

Abstract
The folk custom,which belongs to the folk culture is the basis of Chinese traditional culture.The DNA of our national cultureexists in the folk custom and folk culture.However,in the tide of globalization,the basis of Chinese tradtional culture,the folk custom culture is fading away gradually.As history becomes close to people and daily life,the content on Chinese folk custom culture in new middle school history books increases apparently.We should make clear the educational value of folk custom culture in middle school history teaching.Then the teachers can practice the folk culture teaching effectively so as to pass downthe DNA of our national culture.
