Owing to its dual nature of culture and life,folk custom is able to provide the study of Chinese women culture with a large number of rich and lively data.However,to study folk custom has to draw lessons from theories and methods of multiple disciplines rather than indiscriminately imitate the method of folklore. Anthropological comprehension of theory and method of field survey are most heuristic.The reason lies in the fact that both anthropology and women culture show solicitude for actual life.
