Folk Custom' s Influence on Literature

Folk custom is a living style people have in the same age and area and also an important element in shaping national character of a nation. The culture of folk custom is a writing source of realistic writers because it affects the writers' philosophy and aesthetics. Folk custom's influence is not only the imitation of folk custom but also the writer's absorbing and discarding of folk custom. This paper takes contemporary writers in the east of Zhejiang Province as an example and discusses the issue.
