The Application of Sodium Hyaluronate Compound Betamethasone-articular Injection in Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:To investigate the effect of sodium hyaluronate compound betamethasone-articular injection in knee osteoarthritis.Methods:From June 2010 to December 2011,50 cases hospitalized from author's hospital with primary osteoarthritis were randomly divided into experimental and control groups,each group had 25 cases.Both groups were injected sodium hyaluronate injection of 20 mg once a week,5 times for a course of treatment.Only at the first the time,the experimental group were also injected with betamethasone solution of 1 ml,and the other treatment was the same with the control group.Signs and symptoms score before and after treatment,the degree of pain scoring,Knee Society function score and efficacy were compared between the two groups.Results:After treatment,range of motion,tenderness,swelling,and daily activities of the signs and symptoms scores were lower than before treatment.In the experimental group after treatment,signs and symptoms score were lower than the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P0.05).After treatment,pain symptoms were improved,the experimental group after treatment,the VAS score was lower and LKSS was higher than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P0.05).The total efficiency of experimental group was higher than that of the control group(字2=4.152,P=0.042).Conclusion:The sodium hyaluronate compound betamethasone articular injection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis is better than single sodium hyaluronate,it with a small incidence of adverse reactions,safety and reliability,it is an effective method for the treatment of osteoarthritis.
