Effect of Huganjiexian decoction on serologic indexes of rat hepatic fibrosis

Objective To observe effects of Huganjiexian decoction on changes of liver function and indexes of hepatic fibrosis of rat hepatic fibrosis,and to discuss therapeutic effects of Huganjiexian decoction on hepatic fibrosis.Methods Rat models of hepatic fibrosis were constructed by intraperitoneal injection of tetrachloride.Huganjiexian decoction composed of low,middle,high dose curcumin were given to these rats respectively at the same time.Sho-saiko-to compound treatment group and Fufangbiejiarangan tablets treatment group were made as positive groups.After twelve weeks,all rats were executed.Serum samples were kept to measure serum levels of ALT,AST,ALB,PC-Ⅲ,LN and HA.Results Serum levels of ALT and AST increased,and the level of ALB decreased in fibrotic group.In decoction groups,the levels of ALT and AST were lower than those in fibrotic group while the level of ALB was higher than that in fibrotic group,especially in Fufangbiejiarangan tablets group(P0.05).Serum levels of PC-Ⅲ,LN,HA decreased obviously in decoction groups compared with fibrotic group,especially in the low-dose curcumin group and Fufangbiejiarangan tablets group(P0.05).Conclusion Huganjiexian decoction can improve liver function and induce the serum index of hepatic fibrosis significantly,and it shows therapeutic effects on hepatic fibrosis.
