Abstract

[Objective]To know the bactericidal efficacy,storing stability and toxicity of peracetic acid in binary packing,which was produced by mixing solution A(glacial acetic acid,sulfuric acid)and solution B(hydroden peroxide).[Methods]Suspension quantitative germicidal test,physicochemical analysis method and acute LD50 were used to carry out laboratory observation.[Results]After solution A and solution B of the peracetic acid in binary packing filled separately in air-tight plastic bottles were stored at 54℃ for 14 days,the peracetic acid content produced decreased by 4.6% as compared with before storing.The killing logarithm values of Escherichia coli in suspension exposed to the water solution containing 50mg/Lperacetic acid for 3 min and Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Staphylococcus aureus exposed for 5 min were ﹥5.00.The killing logarithm value of Candida albicans in suspension exposed to the water solution containing 200mg/L peracetic acid for 5 min﹥4.00 and that of spores of Bacullus subtilis var.niger in suspension exposed to the water solution containing 750mg/L peracetic acid for 10 min﹥5.00.Its stock solution LD50 was 1 360.5mg/Kg.BW;LD50 of the 5-fold highest using concentration was ﹥5 000 mg/Kg.BW.[Conclusion]The peracetic acid disinfectant in binary packing has good efficacy in killing vegetative forms of bacteria,fungi,bacterial spores and storing stability;Its stock solution and the 5-fold highest using concentration belong to low-toxic,non-toxic substance in animal test.
