Abstract
Objective To observe the bactericidal efficacy and storing stability of peracetic acid in binary packing, which was produced by mixing solution A(glacial acetic acid, sulfuric acid) and solution B(hydrogen peroxide). Methods Suspension quantitative germicidal test and physicochemical analysis were used for examination. Results The average killing logarithm values of Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus exposed to the solution containing peracetic acid 100 mg/L for 2 min were 5.00,that of Candida albicans exposed to the solution containing peracetic acid 200 mg/L for 1 min was 5.00 and that of spores of Bacillus subtilis var.niger exposed to the solution containing peracetic acid 2000 mg/L for 20 min was 5.00.After the solutions A and B of the peracetic acid in binary packing filled separately in air-tight plastic bottles were stored at 54℃ for 14 days, the peracetic acid content produced decreased by 1.30% as compared with before storing. Conclusion The peracetic acid disinfectant in binary packing has good germicidal efficacy and storing stability.
