Abstract

Objective To evaluate the effect of measles supplementary immunization activities(SIA)in Guangyuan in 2008.Methods The incidence of measles before and after SIA were analyzed.Results The SIA coverage rate reached 97% in all age groups.The incidence of measles declined by 98.48% after SIA,which was the lowest since 1985.No outbreak occurred during 2008-2009.Conclusion Great achievement was made on measles control and prevention by measles SIA in Guangyuan,and the incidence of measles declined dramatically.
