Abstract
Figure-ground segregation is one of the basic cognitive principles in illustrating time and spatial relationship.In the development of cognitive poetics,it is frequently used in the explanation of imagery and artistic conception of literary works.Starting from location words reflecting figure-ground,this paper explores the realization of figure-ground in Tang poems and its effect on the formation of artistic conception,in the hope of providing a new perspective to the research and understanding of Chinese poems and lyrics.
