Abstract
Artistic conception is considered as the soul of Chinese ancient poems. Therefore, how to transfer the artistic conception perfectly in the translation of Chinese ancient poems is an urgent problem that translators should settle. This paper tentatively intends to tackle the problem from the inner characteristics of artistic conception, namely, the imageric characteristic, the emotional characteristic, the transcendental characteristic and a perfect integration of those three characteristics.Only if the translated version owns the four inner characteristics, can the translators leave a vast artistic space for the target readers to savor.
