Study on correlation between infertility and aphoria with mycoplasma infection in Foshan area

Objective To study the prevalence of mycoplasma infection in reproductive tract of males and females with infertility in Foshan region and drug susceptibility of mycoplasma in order to guide clinical rational application of drugs.Methods Four hundred and forty infertile couples in Foshan region consulted in this hospital were examined for mycoplasma from genitourinary tract by culture for identification and drug sensitivity testing,and count up its positive rate.Results The result of mycoplasma culture was positive in 271 cases(61.59%),single infection with Ureaplasma urealyticum(UU) in 199 cases(45.23%),Mycoplasma hominis(Mh) infection in 5 cases(1.14%),UU and Mh mixed infection in 67 cases(15.23%).Conclusion The rate of mycoplasma infection in couples with infertility is high.The rate of infection with Ureaplasma urealyticum is very prevalent,and it is closely related with infertility.
