Study on the pathogenicity of mycoplasma in female genital tract and its relationship with infertility

Objective:To explore mycoplasma infection status of genital tract and pathogenic condition in infertile women.Methods:After excluding the other causes inducing infertility,the secretion samples of genital tract of 60 women with suspected mycoplasma infection underwent mycoplasma culture and drug sensitive test.Results:The women with positive culture results and count104 cfu/ml were analyzed retrospectively,the positive rates of Ureaplasma urealyticum(Uu) and Mycoplasma hominis(Mh),and the infection rate of Uu combined with Mh were 53.33%,11.67%,and 3.33%,respectively;the positive rates of Uu and Mh in infertility group were significantly higher than those in control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Mycoplasma infection in female genital tract has become to be one of the important reasons of infertility,it is suggested to screen mycoplasma regularly for the infertile women,and the women with positive results should be treated according to the results of drug sensitive test.
