Analysis of 60 Cases of Chronic Heart Failure due to Qi Deficiency and Blood Stasis with Qiangxin Tongmai Granule

Abstract

Objective To investigate clinical efficacy of Qiangxin Tongmai Granule on chronic heart failure due to qi deficiency and blood stasis.Methods 60 cases of chronic heart failure were divided into two groups randomly.30 cases in control group were treated with routine western medicine alone and the other 30 cases of treatment group were supplemented with Qiangxin Tongmai Granule on the basis of conventional western medicine.The overall efficacy and changes of cardiac function were observed.Results The total efficacy rates of treatment group and control group were 86.7% and 63.3% respectively,indicating significant difference in comparison(P0.01).The significant difference was presented in the changes of heart function in the comparison of two groups(P0.05).Conclusion Qiangxin Tongmai Granule has definite efficacy on the improvement of heart function and symptoms in chronic heart failure and this drug deserves to be promoted.
