Clinical observation on Qiangxin Tongmai granule in treating chronic cardiac failure in 30 patients

[Objective]To observe the therapeutic effect and safety of granule of Qiangxin Tongmai in treating patients with chronic heart failure.[Methods]Sixty patients with chronic heart failure were randomly divided into two groups:the treatment group and the control group.The patients of control group were treated with routine Western medicine,while those of treatment group were treated with the granule of Qiangxin Tongmai for 4 weeks.Then the therapeutic effects were examined by testing the distance of 6 minutes walking,the function of heart,and the integrated score of TCM syndrome and the safety of the drug.[Results]The total effect ratio of treatment group was 86.7% and that of control group was 63.3%(P0.01).Compared with the control group,the 6 minutes walking distance,the function of heart,and the TCM syndrome integrated score were significantly superior in treatment group(P0.01).[Conclusion]The granule of Qiangxin Tongmai has a definitely therapeutic effect in treating chronic heart failure,may improve patients' heart function,decrease the integrated score of TCM syndrome and can improve the patients' quality of life as well.
