Abstract
An HPLC ELSD method for the determination of sterol has been described. Chromatographic analysis was carried out on a Supecol Discovery C 18 column (250×4.6 mm i.d.) with methanol as the mobile phase. The average rocoveries were from 98.5% to 101%(n=5), and the relative standard deriation (RSD) was below 0.45%. The method was simple, rapid and accurate.
