Abstract

Objective To assess the effect and safety of transur thral plasmakinetic vaporization of prostate. Methods Sixty patients with symptomatic benign prostate hyperplasia were treated with transurethral plasmakinetic vaporization of prostate were analyzed retrospectively. Results The operation lasted from 30 to 100 minutes. The weight of the vaporization of prostate was from 30 to 90 g.No patient occurred transurethral resection syndrome or mass bleeding. The mean catheterization time was 4 days(from 3 to 7 days). All patients were followed up from 3 to 6 months postoperatively. No urine incontinence occurred. The peak flow rate was increased from(5.7±3.3) mL/s to(20.5±4.5) mL/s.The IPSS was decreased from 23.8±1.2 to 7.8±0.5.Conclusion Transurethral plasmakinetic vaporization of prostate is effective and safe with less complication.
