Abstract

Objective: To investigate the effect of metoprolol on cardiac function of patients with congestive heart failure and ventricular remodeling. Methods: A total of 70 cases with congestive heart failure were chosen, and were randomly divided into two groups. The control group of 32 patients had conventional treatment, and the observation group of 38 cases had metoprolol on the basis of conventional therapy. The heart function and ventricular remodeling indicators at 1 month,3 months and 6 months before and after treatment and clinical efficacy after 6 months of treatment were measured and compared between two groups. Results: LVESV,LVEDV and LVEF after 6 months of treatment were of significant improvement(P0.05).After treatment of 6 months,LVESV and LVEF changes were of statistical significant differences between t two groups(P0.05).The total treatment efficiency in the observation group after 6 months was significantly higher than that in the control group(P0.05).Conclusions: The application of metoprolol on the basis of conventional treatment can effectively prevent ventricular remodeling in patients with congestive heart failure and improve heart function, and effectively improve the patient's long-term clinical results.
