Abstract
Objective To study the feasibility and efficacy of topical anesthesia for trabeculectomy of glaucoma.Methods The operations were performed on 102 eyes and the efficacy and postoperative complications were observed.Results 98 eyes(96%) were anesthesiaed successfully,of 102 patients, no general and local complications occurred.Conclusion Topical anesthesia can be used safely and effectively for trabeculectomy of glaucoma,especially for patients with tubular visual field or heart disease.
