Abstract
Objective To conclude the experience from trabeculectomy under topical anesthesia. Methods 209 patients(376 eyes)with glaucoma, from 19 to 89 years old, were treated by trabeculectomy. Results Among all the 376 eyes,356 can be appropriate to the operation, while the rest can not due to the movement of the eyeballs unless added once or twice surface anesthesia. Conclusion For suitable cases, topical anesthesia was a safe and effective way in trabeculectomy.
