Abstract

[Objective]To observe the happenings of anxiety and depression in the patients with heart failure attribute to coronary heart disease or rheumatic heart disease.[Methods]Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA) and Hamilton Depression Scale (HAMD) were used to identify anxiety and depression symptom inpatient with heart failure.[Results]69.5% of the patients with heart failure attribute to coronary heart disease were found to have anxiety symptoms and 58.4% have depression symptoms.53.5% of the patients with heart failure attribute to rheumatic heart disease were found to have anxiety symptoms and 39.4% have depression symptoms. The morbidity and degree of anxiety and depression symptoms in patients with coronary heart disease was significantly more than in patients with rheumatic heart disease.[Conclusion]The patients with heart failure symptoms have different degree of anxiety and depression, especially the patients with coronary heart disease.
