The expression of PTEN in gastric carcinoma

Objective To explore the expression of tumor-related genes PTEN and their clinic pathological significances in gastric carcinoma tissues.Methods The expression of PTEN from 40 patients with gastric carcinoma were investigated by RT-PCR.Results ①There existed significant differences between normal control and PTNM stage Ⅰ、Ⅱ(P0.01);as well as the stages Ⅰ.Ⅱ with stages Ⅲ.Ⅳ for the expression of PTEN.(P0.05).②There existed significant differences between the expression rates of PTEN in the high or middle differentiation grade of the carcinoma detected and the low grade(P0.05).③There existed significant differences between the expression rates of PTEN in the patients with lymph metastasis and those without lymph metastasis(P(0.05)).Conclusion The expressions of PTEN has close relationship with the pathology of gastric carcinoma and their own biology behaviors.PTEN play important roles in the distinct hyperplasia of gastric carcinoma.
