The Expression of MMP-2, PTEN in gastric carcinoma

Objective To explore the expression of tumor-related genes MMP-2 and PTEN and their clinic pathological significances in gastric carcinoma tissues. Methods The expression of MMP-2, PTEN from 40 patients with gastric carcinoma were investigated by RT-PCR. Results ①There existed significant differences between normal control and PTNM stage Ⅰ、Ⅱ(P0.01); as well as the stages Ⅰ. Ⅱ with stages Ⅲ. Ⅳ for the expression of MMP-2, PTEN(P0.05). ②There existed significant differences between the expression rates of MMP-2 and PTEN in the high or middle differentiation grade of the carcinoma detected and the low grade’(P0.05). ③There existed significant differences between the expression rates of MMP-2 and PTEN in the patients with lymph metastasis and those without lymph metastasis(P0.05). Conclusion The expressions of MMP-2 and PTEN has close relationship with the pathology of gastric carcinoma and their own biology behaviors. Both MMP-2 and PTEN play important roles in the distinct hyperplasia of gastric carcinoma.
