A comparative studr of XiaoYu Decoction and buspirone in the treatment of generalized anxiety disorder

Abstract

Objective:To compare the efficacy and side effects of XiaoYu Decoction and buspirone in the treatment of Patients with generalized anxiety disorder.Methods:A total of 80 patients who met with the criteria of CCMD-3 for generalized anxiety disorder were randomly assigned to XiaoYu Decoction and buspirone for the treatment of 6 weeks.The efficacy and side effects were assessed with HAMA and TESS.Results: Both drugs had marked efficacy in treating generalized anxiety disorders,however,there was no significant difference on efficacy between the two drugs(P0.05).XiaoYu Decoction had fewer side effects than imipramine(P0.01).Conclusions: Both XiaoYu Decoction and buspirone has effictive in the treatment of depression.XiaoYu Decoction has lower side effects,tolerable and safety.
