Clinical efficacy of hemopurfusion in treatment of acute paraquat poisoning

Abstract

Objective To investigate the effect of hemoperfusion in the treament of acute paraquat poisoning.Methods Forty-one patients with acute paraquat poisoning were randomly diveded into hemopurfusion(HP) group and control group.The treatment of control group were stomachwashing with 5% NaHCO_3,intragastric injection with active carbon,and others routine treatment,while hemopurfusion was used in HP group on the basis of routine treatment.The clinical efficacy in two groups was observed.Results The curative rate of HP group was significantly higher than control group(P0.01),and death rate of HP group was significantly lower than control group(P0.01).Conclusion Hemoperfusion can improve the curative rate of patients who suffered from acute paraquat poisoning,and reduce the death rate.
