Abstract
Objective:To study the feasibility and security of laparoscopy for treatment of the large ovarian cysts. Methods: 66 patients of large ovarian cysts were randomly divided into laparoscopic group(32 patients) and laparotomy group(34 patients). After operation, the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, anal exhaust time, hospitalization time, postoperative complications rate and recurrence were observed and compared between the two groups. Results: No conversion to laparotomy in laparoscopic group occurred, and the operation time, intraoperative blood loss, anal exhaust time, hospitalization time, postoperative complications rate were all significantly less in the laparoscopic group than the laparotomy group. There was no recurrence in two groups for 24 months after operation. Conclusion: It would be safe and feasible for the large ovarian cysts to be treated by laparoscopy.
