Impacts on the Quality of Life and Immune Function for the Patients with Gastric Cancer at the Late Stage Treated with the Selective Medication of Jianpi Fuzheng Decoction and Chrono-chemotherapy

Objective To observe the impacts on the quality of life(QOL)and immune function for the patients with gastric cancer at the late stage treated with the selective medication of jianpi fuzheng decoction and FOLFOX chrono-chemotherapy.Methods 80 cases were randomized into two groups.FOLFOX chrono-chemotherapy was adopted in either group.21 days of treatment made 1 cycle.The efficacy was assessed after 2 cycles of treatment.In a treatment group,the selective medication of jianpi fuzheng decoction was applied.In a control group,the non-selective medication of jianpi fuzheng decoction was applied.14 days of treatment made 1 session.The efficacy was assessed after 2 sessions of treatment.The changes in clinical symptoms,QOL,immune function and toxic side reactions were observed.Results In comparison of QOL between two groups,for the increase of food intake:it was increased by 75% in the treatment group and was 55.0% in the control group(P0.05);for the sleeping improvement:it was 80.0% in the treatment group and was 57.0% in the control group(P0.05).In comparison of the changes in immune function,CD3+ value and CD4+/CD8+ were higher apparently after treatment in the treatment group than those before treatment(P0.01).CD3+ value and CD4+/CD8+ were lower apparently after treatment in the control group than those before treatment(P0.05).Conclusion The selective medication of jianpi fuzheng decoction and FOLFOX chrono-chemotherapy improve the body immune function and QOL and prolong the life span for the patients with gastric cancer at the late stage.
