Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical effect of percutaneous laser and ozone intervertebral disc decompression combined with compound betamethasone vertebral small joint injection in the treatment of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation accompanied with small joint disease.Methods Sixty cases of patients with lumbar intervertebral disc herniation accompanied with small joint disease were randomly divided into two groups,each group had 30 cases.Group Ⅰ was treated with percutaneous laser and ozone intervertebral disc decompression,50 μg/mL 10-15 mL ozone was injected;while group Ⅱ was treated with percutaneous laser and ozone intervertebral disc decompression combined with bilateral or unilateral vertebral small joint of 0.5-1.0 mL compound Betamethasone.The effects were estimated by double-blind study Oswestry Low Back Pain Disability Scale before treatment and 1 week,2 and 5 months after treatment in the two groups.Results One week after treatment,the effective rate of group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ were 63.3% and 86.7% respectively,which of 2 and 5 months after treatment in the two group were 76.7%,66.7% and 93.3%,96.7% respectively.The curative effects of the group Ⅱ at 1 week,2 and 5 months after treatment were significant higher than those of group Ⅰ (P 0.05).Conclusion Percutaneous laser and ozone intervertebral disc decompression combined with glucocorticoid vertebral small joint injection is an effective and safe treatment for lumbar intervertebral disc herniation accompanied with small joint disease.
