Effect of Shenmai injection in diabetes mellitus(DM)patients with heart failure and influence on the heart rate variability

Abstract
Objective To observe the curative effects of shenmai injection in adjunctive treatment of DM with heart failure and influence on the heart rate variability.Methods:101 cases of DM patients with heart failure were randomly divided into two groups.the control group(50 cases)was given conventional treatment:dropping sugar,stringing heart,diuresis and expand blood vessel.the treatment group(51 cases)was given conventional treatment in addition to Senmai injection(Shenmai injection 46～60ml+5%gs 250ml iv drip qd for 14 days).The rate of general curative effect and the heart rate variability were observed respectively. Results:The rate of general curative effect of the two groups were 88.2% and 68% respectively.The treat- ment group is more effective than the control group(P0.05).the heart rate variability of the treatment group was magnificently higher than that of the control group.Conclusion:Shenmai injection in adjunctive treatment of DM patients with heart failure has the significant curative effect and can improve the heart rate variability.
