Abstract

Objective To explore the related factors for asphyxia on newborn and to provide the intervention measures. Methods The related factors of 130 cases of newborn asphyxia between January 2000 and June 2005 in the hospital were analyzed retrospecteively. Results Newborn asphyxia were mainly caused by the interaction of multiple factors and generally continued after fetal distress.Fetal high risk factors were 93.5%,high risk labor were 92.86%,and maternal high risk factors were 67.86%.Conclusion The improvement on perinatal care, prompt management for high risk pregnancy, focus on the major risk factors, and selections of optimal delivery mode at right moment may be the key measures to reduce occurence of neonatal asphyxia and mortality.
