Abstract
Objective To study the major factors related to asphyxia of newbormn. We propose a number of prophy lactic easures.Method By examing retrospectively 140 cases of asphyxia of newborn in Jinsha .Hospital ,between January 2003 and june 2005.Results Asphyxia of newborn is caysed by the inter-action of multiple factors. In most cases that we studied ,asphyxia of newborn is the continuation of fetal distress .We find fetal high risk factors in 93.5%of cases ,high risk labor in 92.86%of cases ,and maternal high risk factors in 67.86%of cases .Conclusion Improving antenatal care ,managing high risk pregnancy ,monitoring all risk factors ,and choosing the optimal delivery mode
